During our enjoyable and educational tours,
there are a great many things to discover!
Explore our natural gully, filled with native Bajan flora and fauna.
"Awaken your senses to the scents of leaves and flowers, the beautiful sounds of birds, and to the serenity of the surrounding forest. Feel free to ask any of our local and knowledgeable guides about the many species found within the gully and learn about their traditional medicinal uses."
Our distinctive sacred medicinal plant sanctuary, is another stop along the tour path.
"Among the fertile rock beds and incredibly good vibrations, is a vast collection of medicinal plants sourced from all over the island. Set on the edge of Hackleton’s Cliff and our beautifully diverse gully, Lokono garden is a peaceful space, rich with intrinsic medicinal value and energy that is emitted into the rest of the farm land. Our herbalist or guides are always on hand to help out with the medicinal values and practical uses of each plant within this special place."
Our Kitchen Garden (and Orchard) is an important element to the PEG experience.
"Here you can observe how following the principles of biodynamics lift the quality of our fruits, vegetables and herbs. These products are grown without the use of artificial pesticides, chemicals and fertilizer which give the consumer a truly living nutritious source of food. Composting, mulching, polyculture, cover-cropping and regenerative practices are but a few things we use to support PEG’s healing environment vision."
And of course, you can’t come to PEG without visiting our free range animals!
"Our mother herd of cows are essential to our farm. As they travel from field to field, creating a cycle of disturbance and regeneration, these givers of life revitalize the land by enhancing the soil with magical Ruminating souls. Following the cows, our free range chickens add a different element of manure to the soils, while benefiting from a nutrient-rich diet of grasses, insects and worms. Our free range pigs also create an important cycle of disturbance and regeneration, as they forage for roots and bugs among the diverse vegetation in their fields. These animals, along with turkeys and sheep, are crucial to the holistic lifestyle here at PEG."
